First Purchases and Gifts

Baby girl clothes are SO CUTE!! How many onesies does a baby need?! The baby has more clothing than Michael and I put together - only for the first 3 months of life. We’ll see. I wonder if the diaper warmer was a wise purchase..

The Nursery

Setting up this room has been SO fun! I’ve loved every second of it. Since we moved into the new house about a month before the birth, we really had to move and shake to get this room up and running. We did it. All items purchased and set up in the room. It’s been challenging to know how many things to keep in the room. I’ve paired down, added, removed again, stepped back and walked away. Sometimes you don’t know what you need until you need it. So weird to have new things for a baby that I’ve never had before. I haven’t considered air quality and sterilization like this before. Now, it’s top-of-mind. A baby’s lungs and immune system are just developing!

Documentation and Savings

Life Insurance, 529 Plan, Cord Blood Storage, Pediatrician, Vaccinations, Milestones, Apgar Score, HR, oxygen count, SIDS. To say the least, we have learned so many new healthcare terms and learned so much about what we ‘need to’ or ‘should’ do before our baby’s birth. I think we are on top of it. It’s a flood of information, almost like learning a new language or starting a new major with not much prior knowledge.
